Psycho-Physical Therapy

Psycho-Physical Therapy

Description:

Psycho-Physical Therapy (PPT) is a unique way of working that differs from many other psychotherapy approaches in its trust and active engagement of the body as central to the therapeutic process. It is unique in the way it simultaneously explores both sides of the interface of physical and psychological experience through the direct use of movement, hands-on-work, and somatic patterning techniques. PPT is also unique in its strong emphasis on supporting psychological transformation through building somatic based resources.

The goal of Psycho-Physical Therapy is to support a person in fully embracing their unique inner calling. It is a process of awakening and deepening the sense of purpose that gives meaning and momentum to a person's life. It is deeply rooted in the belief that the creative and generative energy that moves all life also flows within each individual person. Fulfillment and satisfaction come when we are connected and engaged with the unique momentum of our personal lives. PPT is articulated as a somatic psychology method but in fact it is an integration of physical, psychological, and spiritual approaches designed to open and deepen a person's awareness to his or her inner life. From this foundation of inner awareness the dynamics of the client's relationship to their world is then explored.
