Most Western Reiki practitioners are taught Reiki without acknowledgment of the integral role intuition can play in helping heal a client completely and permanently. Intuitive Reiki for Our Times inspired me so much that I traveled to Pennsylvania to participate in Amy Rowland's Intuitive Reiki class, which afforded me an opportunity to not only get to know Amy Rowland, but to meet other wonderful Reiki practitioners. The author is a beautiful person with whom to work. Her writing style is straightforward and easy to understand. I am a reiki master and have read many books on reiki and truly find Amy Rowland's style and set up easy to reference, when you want to find a certain topic. The inclusion of Japanese techniques enriched my knowledge of reiki. The photos helped to clarify the explanations given in the book. The final chapter of conversations with certain reiki masters was interesting because I have read work by some of those profiled and it helped me to know those people better. I highly recommend this book to other reiki practitioners.

I'm not finished reading it yet but so fasr this easy to read book lays out the history and evolution of the art of Reiki healing and how inruition plays an important role in practicing healing for clients and oneself. Targeted for those with some background or training in Reiki this book provides an interesting perspective on the various lineages in this ever growing healing technique. An ideal addition to any practitioner's library.

I really liked this book because it is so informative. I met Amy at an IARP reiki retreat in New York and got the book. After starting to read the book, I couldn't put it down. There is a lot in the book--not just about techniques but about reiki itself. Intuitive reiki opens up a whole new world. Energy healing is the medecine of the future. I especially like the info on working with clients, letting them interpret info. I see intuitive reiki as a way to empower the client to take responsibility for their healing. I'm looking forward to taking the reiki intuition workshop in the near future.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE to read about energy healing . It is rare that I dont finish reading a book. I didnt finish reading this book....Maybe I intuitively knew what it was going to say....Or maybe I believe following someone elses structured techniques is not the road to developing your own strong sense of intuition . What I find to be most beneficial is to practice Reiki on yourself every day . Put your hands wherever you feel led to . See and feel what happens.Pay close attention . Be open and aware, not just during the session, but 24/7. You develop your own sense of what needs to be done . Also, the Universal Life Force Energy knows what to do . Trust yourself, Trust the Universe . Know that you receive individual attention for your Highest Good, and training that is based upon who you are ,where you are in this journey. You will receive all you need at the right time for you . So simple .
