This is a great resource for practitioners just getting into teaching Reiki. I have been a practitioner for 5 years and was recently asked to teach a class. I've purchased a few books to help me get started, but this book is the BEST.

I purchased this book as a companion guide to the Essential Reiki book I received as a student of Reiki. I received my master reiki certification in 2006 and was ready to take on the world of teaching. Diane Stein has a straightforward approach and the book is a good beginning for forming class handouts and teaching a class.
Best tool for Reiki Master Teachers

This book is an Essential tool for Reiki Master Teachers, so essential, in fact, that it is now included in the curriculum when I teach the second part of the Master level in Reiki IV. Diane Stein has incredible insight to follow and she adds her experiences of teaching and what kinds of questions come, etc... The material is so important. Monica F, RMT.

First of all let me say that in my humble opinion, publishing a "Reiki Teaching Manual" is fine if distributed to Reiki Level 3 Practitioners and above, but the general public just doesn't need to share in this information!!! Second, I find it very offensive that Diane Stein has chosen to exclude men from her teaching although that is certainly her personal right. Some of the best Reiki Masters and Practitioners that I know happen to be men. Last but not least, speaking as a Reiki Master Teacher, I FIND IT TO BE ABSOLUTELY APPAULING THAT SHE TAKES HER STUDENTS ALL THE WAY FROM REIKI LEVEL 1 TO MASTER IN ONE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T IMAGINE A MORE IRRESPONSIBLE WAY OF TEACHING REIKI!!! THIS IS A SPIRITUAL PROCESS AND JOURNEY THAT "TAKES TIME" AND ISN'T MEANT TO BE ACCOMPLISHED IN ONE FELL SWOOP DURING A WEEKEND SESSION, PERIOD!!! Sorry for the tirade, but I really have to question her motives and advise.
