Item Description
Many people think that the old alchemists were trying to turn lead into gold. But in actuality, as Sandra Ingerman - a practicing shaman and psychologist - reveals, they were metaphorically working on transforming heavy leaded consciousness into gold light consciousness. Using their theories, Ingerman offers strategies for processing the harmful thoughts and emotions that hit us throughout our day. Instead of sending and receiving lethal energy, you will learn, through meditations, visualizations, and other exercises, how to radiate positive thoughts and shield yourself from those that are destructive.

I've read many books on personal development, and I wish I someone had just given me this book when I was 11. It's simple and to the point, teaching practical strategies for emotional and psychological maturity and wisdom. Very similar to The Four Agreements. Simple, effective Shamanic wisdom for your own psyche. You can open it to any page and get your daily dose of positive inspiration. Enjoy!

Most useful in reducing negativity and making me conscious of how potent thoughts are to oneself and the earth.

Sandra Ingerman is an impeccable practitioner and teacher who very clearly describes in this book how to make some very practical and important life changes. As a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 30 years I know through experience that talk therapy only goes so far. There is a spiritual and an energetic component to our woundings, and therefore our healing, that must be addressed for complete healing to occur. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in making positive changes in themselves, their life and the world. As an author of several books on shamanism and energy healing, Seeing in the Dark: Claim Your Own Shamanic Power Now and in the Coming Age, Energy for Life: Connect with the Source (Next Step), and Inner Power: Six Techniques for Increased Energy & Self-Healing I appreciate Sandra's clear explanations and case descriptions. I have had the honor of studying with Sandra and can assure you that she is a beauiful soul and a loving human who's life's work is to ease pain and suffering. I am grateful to her for offering such unconditional service to the world.
Transformation in words

Rarely do I read a book, of any genre, really, but especially self help, in which every word matters. This is one such book. Ingerman accomplishes with skilled brevity sharing her own very honest experience with illness, healing, and mindset, alongside practical instructions for others to do the same. Drawing on her shamanic path and skills she delivers in this text exercises that are quite doable by anyone of any path who wishes to influence his or her own wellbeing. Ingerman carefully associates that the attentiveness one gives oneself benefits All, a principle that draws the work of this book to a strong conclusion: you cannot fail when you take care of yourself. Every little bit helps everyone. I have recommended this book to many people who deal with chronic illness or who want to become more active in their wellbeing.
